ABOUT

Marlena's love for the visual arts flourished in high school when she attended Lois Cowl Harrison Center School for the Visual and Performing Arts. There, she studied advanced college courses in photography, painting, sculpture, and figure drawing. 

 

In her college career, she minored in Art Therapy and, spent her free time in extra curricular painting and drawing portrait sessions. Even whilst studying a different field, she felt herself being drawn again into her first love of the visual arts in photography and painting and is now pursuing her passions once again.

Marlena has been practicing photography since her first course at Harrison in 2012. She enjoys capturing the personality and beauty of each individual she has the pleasure of shooting. She believes in making each person comfortable in front of the camera whether they're brand new or well-experienced in being at the center of a lens.
