James is an alumni of Belmont University's class of 2019 where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Audio Engineering. He began his audio career while working for Belmont's many on and off campus studios as a student staff engineer. Using his experience, he eventually joined the student staff program at Ocean Way where he gained a larger grasp on how the industry works. After graduation, he was brought on as a permanent member where he has had the privilege to work with artists such as: Orville Peck, Smith and Myers, Joy Oladakun, and NEEDTOBREATHE, to name a few. In addition to his work at Ocean Way, James can mostly be found freelancing as a mixing and mastering engineer.
